What are the responsibilites of educators? These are questions we must ask. Education's main purpose is to prepare individuals to be functional and productive citizens in the world they live in.
As educators we need to prepare students not for the industrial age, but rather for the digital age. This is no easy task. We are preparing students for the 'unknown'. Technology is evolving at such a rapid pace, that we can only speculate at this point, what jobs will be available and what services and products will be necessary. Therefore, it is our reponsibility to teach students to think on their feet, to be problem solvers and critical thinkers.
We need to revamp the educational system to produce graduates who are confident, creater thnkers who are not only comfortable working on problems on their own, but have the know-how to work within a group setting and get the most out of it. The graduates need to be socially adept at seeking out information and be willing to corroborate with others for solutions to problems. As different students have various talents, each person can fill in a piece of the puzzle.
Therefore, our firm has outlined how we can be the agents of change. We have designed a program to bring the educational system out of the industrial age and into the digital age and beyond. We want to empower our students to make the most out of each individuals experiences, skills and talents. In order for the United States to stay competitive in the ever changing global marketplace, we must address education now and we feel we are the consulting firm that can catapult this change forward.
